System Genedlaethol ar gyfer Categoreiddio Ysgolion

.Dyma ddyfyniad o’r ddogfen pdf Cyngor Llywodraeth Cymru sydd ynghlwm. A gaf ofyn ichi gymryd yr amser i ddarllen trwy’r ddogfen fer ac os oes unrhyw gwestiynau pellach byddwn yn fwy na pharod i helpu neu ateb eich cwestiynau.
“Nod y System Genedlaethol Categoreiddio Ysgolion yw darparu strwythur clir i adolygu pa mor dda y mae ysgol yn perfformio. Mae’n ystyried pa mor effeithiol y mae’r ysgol yn cael ei harwain a’i rheoli, ansawdd y dysgu a’r addysgu, a lefel y gefnogaeth a’r her y mae angen iddi eu gwneud yn well.
Mae’r system yn helpu i nodi’r ysgolion sydd angen y cymorth, y gefnogaeth a’r arweiniad mwyaf i wella. Mae hefyd yn nodi’r rhai sy’n gwneud yn dda ond a allai fod yn gwneud yn well a’r rhai sy’n hynod effeithiol ac a allai helpu a chefnogi eraill i wneud yn well.
Nid yw’r system yn ymwneud â labelu ysgolion na chreu tablau cynghrair. Mae’n ymwneud â helpu ysgolion i nodi pa ffactorau sy’n cyfrannu at eu cynnydd a’u cyflawniad, a pha feysydd i ganolbwyntio arnynt er mwyn datblygu.

“The National School Categorisation System aims to provide a clear structure to review how well a school is performing. It takes into consideration how effectively the school is led and managed, the quality of learning and teaching, and the level of support and challenge it needs to do better.
The system helps identify the schools that need the most help, support and guidance to improve. It also identifies those that are doing well but could be doing better and those that are highly effective and could help and support others to do better.
The system is not about labelling schools or creating league tables. It is about helping schools identify what factors contribute to their progress and achievement, and what areas to focus on in order to develop.”
